You Are Enough Peer Support Groups

Project overview
In May 2024, the Graham Dacre Foundation provided funding to launch peer support groups for parents of children affected by online sexual abuse.

Sexual violence is one of the most damaging and traumatic adverse childhood experiences, with long-lasting negative effects on victims and their families. Yet recovery is possible through timely, evidence-based interventions and compassionate psychosocial support.
Graham has funded the launch of the You Are Enough™ programme in the UK, which offers parents and carers of children affected by online sexual abuse, a safe, non-judgemental space to process their own trauma alongside others who truly understand. The programme is overseen by trained facilitators and provides crucial emotional support for those who too often suffer in silence.
Delivered by Embrace – Child Victims of Crime, in partnership with Protect Children, the support groups are free of charge. Referrals can be made via the Embrace website.
Jo Procter, Interim Chief Executive of Embrace CVoC, said: “We believe every child deserves to live a happy, healthy life. Sadly, the families we support have endured unimaginable trauma. Our mission is to help children not just survive but thrive—and that includes supporting the adults who care for them. As a result of the generous donation from the Graham Dacre Charitable Foundation, we will be able to help numerous parents navigate their unimaginable trauma and ensure their children get the long-term parental support they need to heal"
